Australian artist Penelope Boyd is a multidisciplinary artist based in Canberra.
Her paintings, drawings and sculptures often depict the human form or domestic artefacts, and explore the relationship between the real and remembered. Drawing from folklore and fairy take, as well as from art-historical and contemporary influences, her work conjurs an otherworldly universe of childhood memory and fantasy. They are at once whimsical and dangerous, and often allude to a larger narrative.
